Da Kitty

The other day I got a phone call from my wife at work. She began to tell how one of her co-workers and how her son had found a baby kitten in the dumpster where they live. Knowing that they couldn't take care of the kitten she brought her to work to hopefully find someone who might.

Of course my wife fell in love with the little kitten and asked me about maybe bringing the kitten home. As much as I love animals as it is I knew this is going to be hard being we live in such a small place and already have a jealous cockapoo and always wants attention.

The trick to all this though is the baby kitten can't even feed itself or be able to go potty yet. My heart just feels so sorry for the poor little kitty that I'm just a sucker when it comes to this stuff. I have never trained a kitten to do all this before. So I figure I'm going to write about it and give pictures as well. Maybe even some videos to share with all my friends.

Of course I'm totally up for any suggestions on how to do this as well. We are still not fully sure if the kitty is a boy or girl yet. But for now we are thinking she is a girl. I hope were right. lol

My daughter suggested that we might call her a safe name for the time being and go with either Riley or Skittles. Many have already agreed with Skittles so we are going with that name for now.

Anyway. I'm going share my experience with trying to raise are New Kitty Skittles, having to bottle feed and teach her how to do all the other stuff.
Hopefully reading through these blogs it just may help someone else that is going through the same thing. If you like what your reading please feel free to subscribe and follow us here. We will have a lot of pictures of her here as well.
Thank you so much for you support as well.

  2. awwww... how precious:) When I first got married 11 years ago, I adopted a kitten because my parents never let me have a cat. Of course, I picked the most promiscuous cat ever. I stopped counting how many litters of kittens, but I would guess about 20. I now have 12 cats, and have give away dozens. So, the first thing I would tell you is to get it FIXED ASAP. So far as the house training. All the cats that I've let stay inside have took to the liter box naturally. Just show it where the box is and it should take to it. Good luck and keep us updated.
